Brazilian Agate Rock slab 47

Brazilian agate has been a staple of the lapidary community for many decades.  It comes in a variety of forms, the most common  being a banded fortification, as well as a wide variety of colors, which adds to its universal appeal to the collector.

Origin:  Brazil

Dimensions: 8" x 3.5" and is approximately 6.3 mm thick.  Weight = 204 grams. 

Shown wet.  Not polished.  This slab is pictured with both front lighting and back lighting.  Flaws are shown as white lines in the final picture frame.
