Horn Coral Slab 31

  • 1995

A beautiful slab of Horn Coral from Utah.  Noted for its gorgeous, symmetrical "bursts" of red/pink and gray, the intricate pattern is formed from the remains of ancient coral skeletons that have been agatized.  Although the cross-sections are usually very small, the material makes outstanding finished pieces.

Origin:  Utah

Dimensions:  1.5" x 1.25" and approximately 8.6 mm thick.  Weight = 23 grams.

Shown wet. Not polished. Flaws are shown as white lines in the final picture frame.
