Bull Canyon 360
Bull Canyon Plume Agate, a fabled plume agate of the 1970’s, was mined in the Bull Canyon, a desert gorge in Washoe County, Nevada, near the California border. The source is now depleted but it remains a highly collectible and a much sought after agate. The material showcases a variety of inclusions (usually gold, red and green) including mossy patterns, tubular stringers, and exquisitely defined feathery plumes, all in a clear agate base peppered with occasional druzy pockets. We were fortunate in obtaining this high-quality material as it is relatively fracture free and is heavily infused with colored inclusions. Each slab will yield a fair number of cabochons or make exclusive collector pieces. Supply is limited.
