Dead Ringer Jasper Slab 37

  • 1995

Dead Ringer, often assumed to be Dead Camel Jasper, from Nevada is a relative newcomer to the lapidary scene and is also found in the soon to be closed area the produces Mescalero, Red Falcon and Fire Ledge.   It's a very hard jasper, with busy, brecciated patterns in a soft mix of pink and burgundy color.  It is an excellent material to work with, it will take a nice polish and each slab will produce several captivating and unique cabs.

Origin: Nevada

Dimensions:  4" x 3" and approximately 6.7 mm thick.  Weight = 117 grams.

Shown wet.  Not polished.  Flaws are indicated as white lines in the final picture frame.
