Kambaba Slab 99
Kambaba Jasper is an interesting lapidary material from Madagascar which is actually the petrified remains of stromatolites. The green/black orbs are replacement of ancient sea life from nearly a billion years ago. A hard, relatively fracture free material, it polishes easily to make some very striking finished pieces. The variety of “bulls eye” patterns make a great theme material for a jewelry collection.
