  • 1295

Mystery Rock is a category dedicated to the beautiful rocks that we have and weren’t able identify or couldn’t trace the origins of.  Many of these items surfaced from old collections that we have accumulated.  Each “unknown” piece has merits that make it worthwhile, either as a fine collector’s specimen or as a working lapidary piece.  We welcome any information you have about the identity of these stones.

This is an brecciated conglomerate jasper in a rhyolite matrix that takes a good polish.

Dimensions:  6" x 2.5" and is approximately 6.8 mm thick.  Weight = 177 grams.

Shown wet.  Not polished.  Known flaws are shown as white lines in the final picture frame.
