Snakeskin Jasper Slab 93

Snakeskin Jasper is primarily sourced from Turee Creek Station in the Pilbara region of Western Australia, particularly in the Weeli Wooli Formation, and is believed to be approximately 2.5 billion years old. A type of siliceous chalcedony, it features intricate, snake-like, or scaly patterns, typically in red, beige, or earthy green tones. This durable stone, 7 on the Mohs scale, takes a high polish and makes intriguing cabs or jewelry.

Dimensions:  4.5" x 2.5" and approximately 6.5 mm thick.  Weight = 134 grams. 

Shown wet. Not polished. Known flaws are shown as white lines in the final picture frame.
