Bolo Jasper Slab 482
We discovered this Durango, Mexico Bolo Jasper at the Tucson Rock Shows. It is strikingly similar to Hickoryite in terms of composition and hardness but is unusual in that it has more detail and scenic patterns. The striations and colorful gold, yellow, purple and blue banding formed as a result of lava flow during the formation and mineralization of the stone. Due to a higher concentration of silica, Bolo Jasper will take a great polish.
