Burro Creek Agate Slab 23

Noted for its lavender and violet hues displayed in a wide variety of patterns, Arizona Burro Creek agate is a versatile lapidary material.  It is found in the desert of northwestern Arizona near the Bagdad Mine. It takes a good polish leaving a warm luster that makes beautiful cabochons. 

Origin:  Arizona

Dimensions: 4.25" x 3.25" and approximately 6.2 mm thick.  Weight = 108 grams. 

Shown wet.  Not polished. Known flaws are shown as white lines in the final picture frame.
