Eudialyte

Sourced from Sweden, Eudialyte is a rare mineral that features bold pink to deep magenta hues contrasted with black, gray, and white tones. It is an uncommon ore of zirconium and the titular member of the cyclosilicate eudialyte group. Because of its rarity, Eudialyte's exact chemical composition is hard to pin down but it is associated with aegrine and calcite crystals. Its name translates to “well decomposable” in Greek, which is an allusion to its solubility in acids.  It is known to be slightly radioactive in large chunks but does not pose a problem in jewelry sized pieces.

The Swedish Eudialyte is particularly cherished for its vivid magenta shades and well-defined patterns providing striking material for jewelry and artistic creations.
