Kiuche Variscite

Variscite is a relatively rare aluminum phosphate mineral closely related to turquoise in its chemical composition.  This Iranian material is the most striking and vibrant variscite that is available.  The very dark or black matrix provides the perfect backdrop for the intense bright green, gem grade material infused throughout. Although softer than agate or jasper (somewhere around 5 on the Moh's scale) it takes a great polish and makes stunning finished pieces.
