Maligano Jasper from Indonesia made its appearance to the lapidary market about a year ago.  A very unusual, brecciated jasper in shades of oranges, blues and gray showcases distinctive jasper scenes and occasionally includes a field of dendrites.  The material may have some pits and healed fractures, but the effort involved in isolating a splendid scene for a cabochon is well worth the effort.

Dimensions:  6.5" x 5.5" and approximately 7.3 mm thick.  Weight = 342 grams.
