Maligano Jasper from Indonesia made its appearance to the lapidary market about a year ago.  A very unusual, brecciated jasper in shades of oranges, blues and gray showcases distinctive jasper scenes and occasionally includes a field of dendrites.  The material has minimal pits and healed fractures, and the effort involved in isolating a splendid scene for a cabochon is well worth the effort.

Dimensions:  3.5" x 2" and approximately 7.2 mm thick.  Weight =81 grams.
