Moroccan Stick Agate
Moroccan Stick Agate, also called needle agate, closely resembles the well know Turkish Stick Agate. The agate features pseudomorphs formed from agate replacing existing aragonite or sagenite crystals which created the stick or needle patterns. The original crystals formed the stick-like pattern, and over time chalcedony formed around, between, and inside the hollow areas of the crystals and are now encapsulated in the agate. The Moroccan Stick Agate is known for the soft pastel pink, peach and purple colors. Not all of the tubes/sticks are solid. Some of them remain hollow and other fill with duzy quartz. These are a natural part of the stone and not considered to be flaws. If you are looking for unique material to work with, this Moroccan Stick Agate won’t disappoint
