Morrisonite Jasper Rock Slab 296

  • 1995

Morrisonite is a very hard jasper from Oregon that is considered to be one of the world's premium jaspers and is highly valued and sought by the lapidary enthusiast as well jewelry craftsmen.  Known for its widely varied patterns and colors displayed in unique "hectic" patterns, it makes superb display pieces or valuable finished cabochons.  Production of the material has dwindled in recent years, making the rock very hard to come by.
