Petrified Palm Root Rock Slab 06

A unique material both in pattern and name, Indonesian Palm Root as it is commonly called, is fossilized masses of Caddis Fly larvae tubes - hence the alternate name “maggot agate”.  The patterns are bold and colorful which will make distinctive cabs or a great collectors piece. 

Origin:  Indonesia

Dimensions: 3.5" x 2.25" and approximately 4.6 mm thick .  Weight = 61 grams. 

Shown wet.  Not polished.  Flaws are shown as white lines in the final picture frame.
