Plasma Agate Slab 39
Plasma agate is collected from Clear Creek Management Area, CA. Technically not agate, but rather a conglomerate of different minerals imbedded in agatized serpentine including cinnabar, chromium chalcedony, blue jadeite, and magnesite. The mix of green and blue colors and the swirled patterns create a spectacular kaleidoscopic backdrop just waiting for an artists’ touch. This material can be considered rare in that it is the only place in the world it is produced, and access is limited by a permit system managed by the government.
Origin: California
Dimensions: 5" x 3" and approximately 5.1 mm thick. Weight = 101 grams.
Shown wet. Not polished. Known flaws are shown as white lines in the final picture frame.
