Polychrome

Polychrome, also known as Desert Jasper, by name means painted with many colors.   It comes from a single location in Madagascar and is distinguished by its beautiful earthy colors of red, pink, orange, and blue amidst a brown background. The blue-green shades are the rarest and most desirable.  It usually exhibits a circular, eye-shaped, or figurative pattern. It is very hard jasper and it takes a beautiful polish.
