Sagenite

Sagenite, or more accurately, sagenitic agate is any agate having acicular or needle-like mineral growths, often rutile, goethite or marcasite. These hair-like filaments are often arranged in fans or sunbursts within the agate. This Mexican material shows very fine pink, red and salmon inclusions that will make fantastic cabs showcasing the sagenitic sprays.
