Spiderweb Jasper Slab 87

  • 1995

Spiderweb Jasper is a lapidary material from Oregon.  It is noted for its red/brown webbing on a green background with occasional agate “eyes".  It normally contains a fair number of fractures, but does yield some very interesting cabs if one is patient enough to work around the flaws.  A hard jasper material with some agate present, it takes a great polish and is relatively easy to work with.

A magnificent specimen slab of Laguna Lace agate from Mexico.  Known for its bright, fortification pattern primarily white and gray it is often times highlighted with reds, pinks or raspberry color.

Origin:  Oregon

Dimensions:  4.5" x 3.5" and approximately 6 mm thick.  Weight = 114 grams.

Shown wet.  Not polished. Known flaws are shown as white lines in the final picture frame
