Broadhead Moss Agate Slab 06

  • 1995

This agate is named after the Broadhead Lake in Utah near where it was discovered in the 1970’s.  The material is very difficult to come by and is no longer gathered because of the difficult mining conditions.  The red and gold moss pattern makes delicate yet striking cabachons.  This is a great opportunity to pick up a unique and scarce material.

Origin:  Utah

Dimensions:  4.25" x 2" and approximately 6.6 mm thick.  Weight = 82 g.

Shown wet.  Not polished.  Flaws are shown as white lines in the final picture frame.
