Chilean Blue Opal is a natural common opal, one without displays or flashes of color. It is a semi-opaque to opaque deeply saturated and vivid blue lapidary material.  It tends to be a little brittle but takes a great polish.  The finished pieces will make a statement by themselves or create magical ocean and celestial scenes.  A fun lapidary material!

Dimensions: 3.5" x 1.5" and is approximately 8.8 mm thick.  Weight = 55 grams.
