Dead Camel Jasper Rock Slab 46

Dead Camel Jasper Rock Slab 46

  • 1995

Dead Camel jasper from Nevada is a relative newcomer to the lapidary scene, but it has rapidly grown to be one of the current favorites.  It's a very hard jasper, with busy, brecciated patterns in a mix of pink, yellow and blue. The newest material contains green and maroon.  It is excellent material to work with, it takes a very glossy polish and makes one of a kind cabs.

Origin: Nevada

Dimensions:  2" x 2.25" and approximately 6.66mm thick.  Weight = 38 grams.

Shown wet.  Not polished. Flaws are indicated as white lines in the final picture frame.
