Kambaba Jasper Rock slab 37
Kambaba Jasper is an interesting lapidary material from Madagascar which is actually the petrified remains of stromatolites, a form of blue-green algae that were the first multicellular organisms to appear in the Earth's oceans over a billion years ago. A hard, relatively fracture free material, showcasing a variety of green/black orbs or “bulls eye” patterns, polishes easily and makes a great theme material for a jewelry collection.
