Mojave Plume a spectacular plume agate found in the desert southwest showcases well defined plumes in a range of red, yellow, orange and tan. It is believed that the red plumes developed when iron oxide was present and that the yellow plumes developed from hydroxy iron oxide and finally the orange to brown shades a mixture of the two.   These bundles of plumes will make wonderful scenic pieces.
