Morrisonite Jasper Rock Polished Specimen 07

  • 17495

Morrisonite is a very hard jasper from Oregon that is considered to be one of the world's premium jaspers and is highly valued and sought by the lapidary enthusiast as well jewelry craftsmen.  Known for its widely varied patterns and colors displayed in unique "hectic" patterns, it makes superb display pieces or valuable finished cabochons.  Production of the material has dwindled in recent years, making the rock very hard to come by.

Origin:  Oregon, US

Dimensions:  7.5" x 5" and 20 mm thick at the top and 27 mm at the bottom edge..  Weight = 1455 grams (3.3 lbs).

Shown polished.  This is a finished display specimen that may include minor flaws, however, they do not affect the integrity of the piece.
