Owyhee Jasper Rock Slab 0109

Owyhee Jasper from Oregon is a longtime favorite of the lapidary community, having been around for many decades. It is still in high demand for its simple buckskin brown and tan pattern and often times with very distinctive red highlights. It is a very hard, fine grained jasper which takes a superior polish and makes spectacular cabs. It is considered to be a keystone variety for any serious jasper collection.

Origin:  Oregon, US

Dimensions: 2.5" x 1.25" and approximately 7.7 mm thick on the right side and 10.9 mm thick on the left.  This slab has some uneveness on the back.  Weight = 54 grams. 

Shown wet.  Not polished.  No known significant flaws.
