Paleo Osmundo Rock Slab 0702
Paleo Osmundo is an extremely rare fossilized tree fern from Australia. This ancient material represents one of the oldest vascular plant fossils in the world. The "heart" of the fern has been replaced by silica and petrified to preserve the splendid arrays of vascular bundles that nourished and supported the plant as it grew. As there is not much available and it is very hard to find, this could be a good opportunity to add that very unusual piece to the collection.
Origin: Australia
Dimensions: 5.5" x 4.25" and approximately 8.8 mm thick. Weight = 258 grams.
