Polish Flint Rock Slab 6

Polish Flint is hard, sedimentary quartz gemstone, a member of the chalcedony family, that dates back to the Jurassic period in Poland. It was used to make to early tools like axes, knives, arrowheads. Its’ earthy dark-grey and deep brown colors showcase bold, concentric and picturesque patterns that were laid down during formation. It has a glassy appearance with a Mohs Scale hardness of 6.5-7, so it takes a fantastic polish.

Origin:  Poland

Dimensions:  4" x 2.75" and approximately 6.7 mm thick .  Weight = 77 grams. 

Shown wet.  Not polished.  No known flaws.
