Rolling Hills Dolomite Rock slab 40
Rolling Hills dolomite (travertine) is a very striking lapidary material from Mexico that exhibits fascinating, repeating orbs and waves of tan and mahogany brown in a very eye catching pattern. Also known as Desert Storm and Wave Dolomite, the hardness of the material is much softer than agate or jasper, but will still take a good polish to produce some great cabs or display pieces. It makes a great item to put in one’s collection.
Dimensions: 5.25" x 2.5" and approximately 5.9 mm thick. Weight = 120 grams.
Shown wet. Not polished. Flaws are shown as white lines in the final picture frame.
