Sonora Sunrise Rock Slab 292

  • 3995

Sonora Sunrise is a highly desirable tri-color jasper out of Mexico. It is made up of Chrysocolla, which is a beautiful blue/green, and Cuprite, which is the red/orange interspersed with black iron banding.  The contrast of these bold colors produces striking cabochons and is a mainstay for southwestern themed jewelry. Once plentiful, this material is increasingly difficult to obtain, especially slabs that display all three colors.

Origin:  Mexico

Dimensions:  5.5" x 3.25 and approximately 6 mm thick on the top edge to 4 mm on the bottom edge.  Weight = 139 grams.

Shown wet.  Not polished.  Known significant flaws are marked as white lines in the final picture frame.
