Tiffany Stone Rock Slab 04
Tiffany Stone is a rare opalized fluorite in shades of purple, blue, white, and occasionally peach hues that is found in western Utah at the beryllium mines at Spor Mountain. Most of the Tiffany Stone is mined and crushed for the beryllium but occasionally a small amount is taken out by collectors. The rock is composed of fluorite, opal, calcite, dolomite, quartz, and bertrandite. When cut and polished it will make beautiful, swirled pastel colored jewelry or display pieces.
Origin: Utah
Dimensions: 5.5" x 3.5" and approximately 6.8 mm thick. Weight = 206 grams.
