Cripple Creek Jasper from Oregon is a well-known picture jasper and is characterized by its distinctive flow patterns which were created by petrified or silicate mud and occasional dendrites.   The earth tone colors make remarkable landscape scenes often with a contrasting blue as a sky or water in the scene.  It takes a good polish and will make creative cabochons or interesting backgrounds for picture painting.

Origin:  Oregon

Dimensions: 4.5" x 3" and approximately 6.4 mm thick.  Weight = 133 grams.

Shown wet.  Not polished.  Flaws are shown as white lines in the final picture frame.
