Wingate agate is considered to be one of the best, if not the best, plume agate material in the world.  This "extinct" material hasn't been available to collectors for over 50 years.  It came from a deposit that is now included in a military training area and is off limits to collectors.  Famous for its brilliant, feathery plumes in red, gold, yellow and brown, it makes spectacular finished items or display pieces.
